The Hapuku Carriages in New Zealand offer a unique blend of comfort and adventure, making it an intriguing choice for travellers seeking something beyond the conventional hotel experience. Our stay in one of the old railway cabooses was memorable, with thoughtful amenities including plush electric blankets and an array of kiwi-themed decor that resonated with my sense of nostalgia. Housekeeping maintained an immaculate environment throughout our visit, while the outdoor area-complete with an inviting open-air bath-provided a delightful way to unwind under the stars. The beautiful gardens and patio space encouraged relaxation, whether sipping a cup of tea or enjoying a glass of wine. While dining, the continental breakfast outperformed our expectations; homemade muesli and fruit preserves felt like a personal touch, reminding me of home. The proximity to the beach, just two minutes away, offers excellent opportunities for dolphin watching. Given the unique accommodations and amenities, we felt the financial investment was justified, providing both luxury and value in equal measure. I highly recommend the Hapuku Carriages for a truly distinct getaway.
